Summary of Responsibilities:

The Certified Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and modernizing elevator systems, escalators, and other vertical transportation equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Install/Modernize and test new elevator systems and escalators, conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues and making necessary adjustments or repairs. Respond to dispatched service calls.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

CET required, have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to elevator operation. Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical manuals. Familiarity with controllers. Physical stamina to perform lifting, climbing and working in confined spaces. Strong attention to detail and commitement to safety. Ability to work independently or as a part of a team in various work environments. Ability to travel to job sites when required.
